Performing Arts Management was established at Brigham Young University in 1971. This year marks our 40th anniversary of representing the fine student touring ensembles from the School of Music, the Department of Dance, and the Department of Theatre and Media Arts in the College of Fine Arts and Communications.
Since 1971 BYU ensembles have performed more than 10,000 concerts in nearly 100 countries. Friends the world over have made these opportunities possible. Creating worldwide goodwill through high standards of conduct, outstanding performances, and educational outreach programs, the Brigham Young University performing groups are truly able to say, “The world is our stage.”
In addition to the positive experiences of audience members, individual performers gain much from their touring experiences. Students receive a broader knowledge and understanding of other people, cultures, and languages while developing artistic skills for a lifetime of service.
As their reputation spreads with the leaders of the world, BYU performers continue to change hearts. They proclaim their message through song, dance, and example, showing their audiences that life’s most important messages are often better felt than spoken.
Thank you for your continued support of the BYU performing groups. We look forward to working with you in 2012 and for many more years
to come.
