BYU’s Vocal Point has released a new music video that sparks triumph. “It Is Well with My Soul” was written by Horatio Spafford, who overcame the tremendous loss of all his children and his investments in his lifetime. Spafford later on saw the hands of God in his life and felt the comfort, which motivated him to write the hymn that Vocal Point has beautifully adapted.
Moved by the hymn and Spafford, Vocal Point has also released a video telling the original story of how the inspirational hymn came to be. Vocal Point hopes the hymn can bring peace to everyone and encourages all to share their own stories by using #itiswell on social media. The members have been able to personally relate to the hymn and they too have shared personal stories using the hashtag. #itiswell is about looking ahead and conquering dark times.
