The BYU Philharmonic Orchestra is ready for another year of showstopping musicianship. Here’s everything you need to know about its upcoming season:

October 11, Great Beginnings: Join the BYU Philharmonic for the opening concert of a landmark season, celebrating 150 years since BYU’s founding. The program features Hindemith’s bold and colorful Symphonic Metamorphosis alongside Schubert’s grand Symphony No. 9 in C Major, “The Great”—a powerful start to a season of musical celebration and legacy.

November 15, Great Forces: Experience the BYU Philharmonic in an evening of bold musical expression, featuring the world premiere of At Full Strength by BYU composer Dan Bradshaw. The program concludes with the sweeping lyricism and emotional power of Kalinnikov’s Symphony No. 1.

Come early to the Concert Hall to hear a pre-concert talk with composer Dan Bradshaw and conductor Nathan Haines.

December 5-6, Celebration of Christmas: The BYU combined choirs and Philharmonic present this well-loved annual concert celebrating the sounds of the holiday season.

February 23, Evening of Concertos: Celebrate the artistry of BYU’s top performers in the exhilarating Evening of Concertos, featuring winners of the annual concerto competition in the junior, senior, and graduate divisions. The next generation of musical excellence, these outstanding soloists take center stage alongside the BYU Philharmonic.

April 11, From the New World: Journey through sound with Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World”—a sweeping masterpiece that captures the spirit of America through the eyes of a European composer.
