Chamber Orchestra

In 2017, BYU’s Chamber Orchestra had the opportunity to tour the Philippines. While in Manilla, they performed alongside Broadway sensation Lea Salonga. The collaboration resulted in them being presented the award for “Best New EP by a Solo Artist” by the Broadway World Awards. For a university orchestra, it was not only a prestigious achievement but, as director Kory Katseanes put it, virtually unheard of, “It’s unbelievable—but not undeserved—that BYU won.”
