Stocking Up on Memories at the Stockyards

BYU Wind Symphony had an exciting first few days on tour.  Having left in the early morning on Thursday, May 2, the group arrived at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and immediately jumped into the tour with a performance at Lowery Freshman Center. In the following two days, they held performances at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts and at Haltom High School.

Along with performing, the Wind Symphony visited the Fort Worth Stockyards. This visit came complete with a cattle drive, a gunfight reenactment, a guided tour, and shopping. To wrap up the week, the group performed a music devotional at the Hurst Stake Center for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Dallas area.
