Voices and Rhythms: BYU Performing Arts Ensembles Hit the Road

BYU’s 2025 tour season showcases a diverse array of talented ensembles, each with its unique focus and style: 

Vocal Point & Noteworthy

These two a cappella groups will join forces for an 8-performance tour through Nevada and Arizona from January 24 to February 1, 2025. Vocal Point, a seven-man ensemble, is known for their harmony, humor, and remarkable vocal percussion. Noteworthy, comprising seven female vocalists, offers a diverse repertoire spanning pop, rock, jazz, hip-hop, and spiritual genres. Together, they promise a dynamic and captivating performance. 

Young Ambassadors

This group of singer/dancers and technical crew members will embark on two tours. Their 5-show mid-semester tour in Utah and California (February 10-15) and 10-performance extended tour in Brazil (April 29 to May 16) will showcase American musical theatre with contemporary music and dance. The Young Ambassadors have a rich history dating back to 1970 and have performed in over 68 countries. 

Ballroom Dance Company 

Known for their elegance and energy, the Ballroom Dance Company will tour Nevada and California for 5 performances (February 25 to March 1), followed by an 8-show extended tour in Southeast Asia (April 29 to May 14). Their performances feature a variety of dance styles, including Latin, swing, and waltzes, presented in a theatrical environment. 

BYU Singers 

This vocal ensemble will tour Italy, Greece, Switzerland, and Belgium, with 12 performances from May 1-20. While specific details about their 2025 tour are not provided, BYU Singers typically perform a wide range of choral music, from classical to contemporary pieces. 

Chamber Orchestra 

The Chamber Orchestra plans a 9-show tour in Australia from May 4-19. This ensemble performs a repertoire of classical and contemporary orchestral works, showcasing the talents of BYU’s top instrumental musicians. 

Living Legends 

This group will perform 8 shows in Montana and Western Canada from May 1-17. Living Legends typically celebrates the native cultural heritage of the Americas and the South Pacific through a vibrant display of song and dance. 

These tours not only showcase the diverse talents of BYU students but also serve as cultural ambassadors, sharing American performing arts with audiences around the world.
