What Child Is This? / Ave Maria (feat. BYU Women’s Chorus) via Noteworthy on YouTube

In a candlelit concert hall, BYU Women’s Chorus stands in formation, softly singing the words to “Ave Maria” while a delicate veil of light and vapor moves through the air. Their angelic voices fill the air with sacred reverence as BYU Noteworthy joins in singing “What Child Is This?”, providing two different perspectives of the nativity. Together, they proclaim the joy of Christ’s birth to the world.

The sound is so rich and full that it’s easy to forget the piece is entirely a cappella. The blend of traditional choral music with contemporary vocal texture places a fresh and thoughtful twist on these beloved Christmas songs. One Women’s Chorus member shared:

“I love the message of ‘What Child Is This?’ because it reminds me that this little baby is going to be the Savior of the world. I love that He was born as a humble babe who came to redeem us all.”

The song will be available for streaming on Noteworthy’s upcoming EP, “In Her Arms”, available for pre-save here
