For the first week of tour Synthesis was largely unaffected by the many rainstorms pushing through the region. However, on their last full day in Finland the sky unleashed a torrent of rain that cancelled their performance on the busy Esplanade in Helsinki. Undaunted, everyone put their heads together and made arrangements to swap the concert with the planned LDS temple visit the next morning. Both activities turned out splendidly, with the performance drawing hundreds of listeners just hours before the group caught the ferry for Tallinn, Estonia.
Synthesis had other great experiences this week that included:

Presenting evening devotionals for LDS members and their guests at the University of Vaasa in Finland and the chapel in Tallinn, Estonia.

Playing for appreciative crowds on the market square and in the Strampen Restaurant in Vaasa.

Experiencing the most important cultural activity for the Finnish people, the sauna.

Spending time with other young adults in Helsinki.

Enjoying the beauty and natural wonders on the Estonian island of Saaremaa.
